Netflix announced its weekly content slate Tuesday, highlighting the addition of three licensed series alongside new original programming through July 5.
The streaming platform’s latest releases include all seasons of Mr. Robot, Portlandia, and Mom — marking a notable shift as licensed content from other networks has become increasingly rare on Netflix in recent years.
Documentary and Reality Programming
Attack on London: Hunting The 7/7 Bombers premieres July 1, examining the terror attacks that killed 52 people on London’s transportation system. The documentary series features insider accounts and previously unreleased footage from the bombings.
Showtime‘s Yellowjackets expands its Netflix presence with the second season arriving July 1. The thriller continues two months after a major character’s death concluded the first season.
Countdown: Taylor vs. Serrano debuts July 3, following fighters Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano as they prepare for their July 11 bout. The docuseries provides behind-the-scenes access to their training regimens ahead of the live Netflix boxing event.
Licensed Series Additions
All four seasons of Mr. Robot join Netflix’s library July 3. The USA Network series ran from 2015 to 2019, starring Rami Malek as Elliot Alderson, a hacker recruited by the collective “fsociety” to target conglomerate E Corp.
Creator Sam Esmail’s drama earned critical acclaim for its portrayal of cybersecurity themes and mental health issues.
Mom brings all eight seasons to Netflix July 1. The CBS sitcom starred Anna Faris as a recovering alcoholic and single mother, alongside Allison Janney as her mother, also in recovery. The series aired from 2013 to 2021.
Portlandia completes the licensed trio with seasons 1-8 arriving July 1. Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein created the sketch comedy series for IFC, featuring recurring characters in Portland-based scenarios with guest appearances from Andy Samberg, Parker Posey, and Jason Sudeikis.
Returning Originals and Final Seasons
The Sandman returns July 3 with Season 2 Volume 1. The fantasy series continues weeks after Dream destroyed the Dream Vortex threatening reality. Netflix has designated this as the show’s final season.
Tour de France: Unchained releases its third season July 2, covering the 2024 race from Florence to Nice. Netflix previously announced the sports documentary series would conclude with this installment.
Family and Specialty Content
PAW Patrol adds seasons 2-3 on July 1, expanding the children’s animated series featuring search and rescue dog Ryder and his team.
All the Sharks premieres July 4 as a reality competition where shark expert teams search for elusive species worldwide.
The anime series The Summer Hikaru Died arrives July 5, following Yoshiki as he confronts his best friend Hikaru about mysterious changes after a week-long disappearance six months earlier.
Netflix’s July programming represents a mix of final seasons for existing properties and the addition of completed series from other networks — a strategy that’s become less common as the platform focuses primarily on original content development.
