Netflix announced its slate of major releases arriving next week, featuring a mix of culinary excellence, comedy, and historical documentary programming to close out April and kick off May.
The streaming giant’s lineup includes the tenth anniversary installment of its acclaimed food series, a star-studded comedy adaptation, and a comprehensive docuseries examining the Vietnam War.
Chef’s Table: Legends premieres as the latest entry in Netflix’s signature culinary documentary franchise, celebrating its tenth anniversary. The new season spotlights four culinary heavyweights who’ve transcended traditional chef roles to become global influencers.
The series features Jamie Oliver, José Andrés, Alice Waters, and Thomas Keller — chefs who have shaped food culture through hunger activism, culinary revolutions, and innovative approaches to cuisine.
Continuing the franchise’s signature visual style, Chef’s Table: Legends combines intimate chef profiles with the series’ trademark cinematography showcasing meticulously plated dishes and behind-the-scenes kitchen artistry.
Netflix also debuts The Four Seasons, a comedy series adaptation of the 1981 film. The show comes from co-creator Tina Fey, who developed the series alongside fellow 30 Rock writer-producers Lang Fisher and Tracey Wigfield.
The ensemble comedy stars Fey alongside Will Forte and Steve Carell, following six longtime friends whose group dynamic fractures when one couple announces their separation.
“Over the course of a year, we follow the friends on four vacations, and watch how this shake-up affects everyone’s dynamic — sending old issues and new bubbling to the surface,” according to Netflix’s official description.
Rounding out the major releases is Turning Point: The Bombing of Vietnam, a five-part documentary series examining the complex history and legacy of the Vietnam War.
The series continues Netflix’s “Turning Point” documentary franchise, following previous installments Turning Point: The Bomb and the Cold War and Turning Point: 9/11 and the War On Terror.
Featuring archival footage and in-depth interviews, the docuseries aims to provide a comprehensive examination of the conflict’s historical context, military strategies, and lasting impact on both Vietnam and the United States.
