5 Must-Watch Streaming TV Shows Coming Next Week May 4-10

Netflix, Max, and Peacock have unveiled a robust slate of streaming premieres for next week, featuring high-profile returns and anticipated new series across multiple genres.

The lineup includes Natasha Lyonne’s return in Poker Face, Conan O’Brien’s global adventures, and a mix of reality competitions and documentary series.

Netflix will debut The Devil’s Plan, a Korean reality competition series where contestants live together while competing in strategic mind games. Participants — including both celebrities and ordinary people — face daily challenges: one to accumulate prize gold and another for elimination.

The high-stakes format features intellectually demanding competitions that test contestants’ strategic thinking and psychological resilience.

Max announced the premiere of Conan O’Brien Must Go, a travel series following the veteran comedian as he visits international fans he previously connected with through his podcast.

Each episode captures O’Brien’s signature improvisational comedy as he immerses himself in local cultures, from performing with Finnish metal bands to navigating unfamiliar customs in various countries.

Peacock confirmed the May 8 return of Poker Face for its second season. Created by Rian Johnson, the mystery-of-the-week series stars Natasha Lyonne as Charlie Cale, a woman with an uncanny ability to detect lies who solves murders while traveling across America.

The sophomore season features guest appearances from John Mulaney, Cynthia Erivo, and other notable performers as Charlie encounters new mysteries and unusual characters.

Apple TV+ will premiere Long Way Home, a 10-episode documentary series starring Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman. The longtime friends journey through 17 European countries on vintage motorcycles, exploring landscapes from Scotland to the Arctic Circle.

The series combines travel documentary elements with personal friendship dynamics as the pair navigate challenging terrain and immerse themselves in local cultures.

Hulu rounds out the week’s releases with Summer of ’69, a coming-of-age comedy film debuting May 9. Directed by Jillian Bell, the movie stars Chloe Fineman as a stripper who becomes an unlikely mentor to a high school senior determined to lose her virginity before graduation.

The comedy features Nicole Byer, Liza Koshy, and Charlie Day in supporting roles, blending raunchy humor with themes of female friendship and self-discovery.
