Netflix announced Thursday the return of several fan-favorite series this week, including the highly anticipated seventh season of Black Mirror and the final installment of German crime comedy How to Sell Drugs Online (Fast).
The streaming giant continues its aggressive original content strategy with four returning series hitting the platform between April 6-12, maintaining its position as the most prolific producer of original streaming content.
Black Mirror leads the lineup with its seventh season premiering April 10. The acclaimed anthology series returns with six new episodes, including a sequel to the interactive film Bandersnatch and a follow-up to the popular “USS Callister” episode.
April 8 marks the debut of the fourth and final season of How to Sell Drugs Online (Fast). The German coming-of-age crime comedy follows former MyDrugs CEO Moritz Zimmermann (Maximilian Mundt) as he attempts to rebuild his life after prison.
Also arriving April 8 is the second half of My Next Guest Needs No Introduction With David Letterman‘s fifth season. The veteran talk show host’s latest installment features an interview with WNBA rookie and Indiana Fever point guard Caitlin Clark.
Rounding out the week’s returning series is Unicorn Academy: Chapter 3, premiering April 9. Subtitled “Legendary Summer,” the latest installment of the adaptation follows six teenagers at a magical boarding school protecting their institution from a dark force.
The string of returning series highlights Netflix‘s content strategy of maintaining viewer engagement through a steady stream of new seasons from established properties alongside its new original offerings.
