33 Titles Leaving Netflix May 1: Watch Before They’re Gone

Netflix will remove dozens of titles from its streaming library on May 1 as licensing agreements expire. Several acclaimed films and fan favorites are set to depart, making this week the last opportunity for subscribers to watch these selections before they’re gone.

While some titles may eventually return to the platform, the timeline for their potential comeback remains uncertain — ranging from weeks to years. Here’s what’s leaving and what deserves priority viewing before the deadline.

Among the notable departures is the Academy Award-winning Dallas Buyers Club (2013), featuring Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto as AIDS patients smuggling unapproved medications into the United States. Both actors received Oscars for their performances in this critically acclaimed drama.

Jennifer Lopez’s rom-com Maid in Manhattan (2002) also exits the platform this week. The charming film stands out among the genre’s offerings and has maintained a dedicated fanbase since its release.

Sam Raimi’s original Spider-Man trilogy will disappear from the service as well. With Marvel’s Avengers set to return in next year’s Doomsday event and speculation about Tobey Maguire potentially reprising his role in the upcoming Secret Wars, this marks an ideal time to revisit where the modern superhero film boom began.

The complete list of titles leaving Netflix on May 1 includes:
