Netflix announced Thursday that Squid Game will conclude its record-breaking run with the third and final season arriving June 27. The streaming platform also confirmed new episodes of The Ultimatum: Queer Love and Pokémon Horizons for the week.
The final chapter of Netflix’s most-watched series ever promises to resolve the cliffhanger ending from season two. Lee Jung-jae returns as Seong Gi-hun in what the platform describes as the "shocking conclusion" to the global phenomenon.
[Spoiler Alert] Season three picks up directly after the events of the previous season’s finale, with Gi-hun’s fate hanging in the balance as he attempts to end the deadly competition permanently.
Reality Programming Returns
The Ultimatum: Queer Love enters its second season June 25 with a new group of couples testing their relationships. Six queer couples will participate in eight-week trial marriages with different partners before deciding whether to commit to their original relationships.
The format follows the established structure from previous seasons, with participants living separately before reuniting for the final decision ceremony.
Animated Series Continues
Pokémon Horizons returns June 27 with new episodes in "The Search for Laqua Part 3." The animated series follows characters Liko, Roy, and Dot as they complete their Tera Training and rejoin the Rising Volt Tacklers for their journey to Kitakami.
