Netflix announced three major premieres arriving next week, featuring the final season of an acclaimed animated comedy, a star-studded psychological thriller, and a documentary exploring a controversial NFL scandal.
The streaming giant’s latest Untold documentary, The Fall of Favre, investigates NFL Hall of Famer Brett Favre’s involvement in Mississippi’s welfare scandal. The film promises exclusive interviews and in-depth reporting on the misappropriation of public funds meant for families in need.
The documentary continues Netflix‘s signature investigative approach to sports controversies, offering viewers a comprehensive examination of the case that made national headlines.
Netflix will also debut Sirens, a psychological thriller set during one tension-filled weekend at a luxurious seaside estate. Academy Award winner Julianne Moore stars as enigmatic socialite Michaela Kell, whose invitation to sisters Simone (Milly Alcock, House of the Dragon) and Devon (Meghann Fahy, The White Lotus) quickly unravels into a dangerous game of manipulation.
The series also features Kevin Bacon and Glenn Howerton in supporting roles. Sirens was created by Molly Smith Metzler, who previously developed the critically acclaimed Maid for the platform.
May 23 marks the beginning of the end for Big Mouth as the Emmy-winning animated comedy launches its eighth and final season. The series, known for its unflinchingly honest and surreal take on adolescence, will conclude its run after becoming one of the streamer’s longest-running original programs.
Created by Nick Kroll, Andrew Goldberg, Mark Levin, and Jennifer Flackett, Big Mouth has garnered critical acclaim for its bold approach to teenage development, featuring voice performances from Kroll, John Mulaney, Jessi Klein, and Maya Rudolph.
