Netflix announced Thursday it’s adding ten seasons of programming this week, marking the second consecutive week the streaming service has reached this milestone.
The new titles span adult dramas and comedies from international markets alongside children’s animated series.
New Animated Series and Kids Programming
The Creature Cases: Chapter 5 debuts June 9, continuing the animated series about Covert League of Animal Detective Experts (C.L.A.D.E.) agents Sam Snow and Kit Casey. The snow leopard and kit fox duo solve mysteries and embark on adventures in the latest chapter.
The Fairly OddParents: A New Wish returns June 12 with its second season. The animated sequel to the original Nickelodeon series features Cosmo and Wanda coming out of retirement to serve as 10-year-old Hazel Wells’ fairy godparents. Ten new episodes will be available.
International Drama Series
Families Like Ours premieres June 10, marking Thomas Vinterberg’s first series following his films Another Round and The Hunt. The series debuted at Venice in 2024 before Netflix acquired distribution rights.
Set in the near future, the series follows student Laura (Amaryllis August) as she evacuates Denmark due to rising water levels.
Polish drama Aniela launches June 11. The series follows a woman who loses everything after a public incident with her husband.
“Forced to start a new life from scratch, she has to face a reality governed by entirely different rules,” according to Netflix’s description.
Returning Action and Crime Series
Arnold Schwarzenegger returns in FUBAR: Season 2 on June 12. Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix) joins the cast as German spy Greta Nelson.
“I don’t know if I’ve ever had so much fun doing a job,” Moss told Netflix’s Tudum.
South African crime series Kings of Jo’Burg: Season 3 premieres June 13. The season follows the reigning King of Joburg as he makes a deal to take over the King of Cape Town’s empire, unleashing deadly consequences.
Rana Naidu: Season 2 also debuts June 13. Netflix refers to the Indian action drama as “Netflix India’s breakout series of 2023.” The second season sees fixer Rana struggling to protect himself and his family from dangerous associates.
Reality Programming and Network Acquisitions
Too Hot to Handle: Spain launches June 13, bringing the popular reality format to Spanish audiences. Ten singles compete for €100,000 while abstaining from physical intimacy. The Spanish version joins international editions from Germany, Mexico, Brazil, and Italy.
ABC‘s Grey’s Anatomy: Season 21 arrives June 14, just weeks after the season finale aired on broadcast television. The medical drama’s 21st season brings viewers back to Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. ABC has already renewed the series for Season 22.
Documentary Content
Docuseries Cocaine Air: Smugglers at 30,000 Ft. premieres June 11, examining the March 20, 2013 arrest of four French nationals at Punta Cana airport. Authorities discovered 700 kg of cocaine on their private jet, though the passengers claimed ignorance of the luggage’s ownership.
The programming additions continue Netflix’s strategy of balancing original international content with acquired network series and reality programming formats.
